Phil began his career in healthcare advertising by answering an ad in The New York Times and sending a singing balloon telegram. He has never looked back. Though he grew up in Account Services, his true love has always been New Business. More than 500 pitches later, his passion for this crazy, fast-paced part of our world has only deepened.
These days, Phil leads a business development group of over 25 talented and energetic folks who service many of the agencies and networks within the Omnicom Health Group. He and his team have also been very fortunate to work with many other agencies within Omnicom, including those in consumer, public relations, and technology.
Through successful agency collaborations, Phil’s group has helped lead agencies to win big with all types of healthcare clients, and also with pharmaceutical company consolidations including Bayer, Merck, Pfizer, and Takeda.
Dubbed the "The Pitch Machine," Phil’s business development group has an average win rate of 70% and continues to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies and approaches in order to service our wide range of agency clients.
Besides running pitches, Phil loves to run. He has run 30 marathons to date, including his personal favorites: the Costume Wine Marathon of France dressed as an entire wedding and the “Naked Chef.” In his spare time, he runs after his dog Maggie Mae and runs away from household chores.
Phil graduated from Vassar College, earned a Master's Degree in Media Studies at New School University, and attended the graduate program at The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies in New York. He even has a couch in his office.
